Beautiful Children {Waldorf, MD}

Hey! I never know how to start these blog posts... which is really weird because I am never really without words! The kids and I have been enjoying this cooler weather! The leaves in my backyard are starting to change already! I see hints of red and orange randomly strewn throughout the trees! :) I have been in the mood for hearty meals. Last night my daughter and I made pulled pork for pulled pork sandwiches (they were GREAT!)- it was a BIG hit with my kids and especially my husband! Not to mention it smelled awesome in my house all day!!! I learned yesterday that it's a lot of fun to do the dishes with my 1 year old :) I can honestly say I've never been SOAKED from doing the dishes but, seeing her little face made it ALL WORTH IT!! I wish I could have recorded it... :) We would have been a site to see! As if that weren't enough I had an AWESOME surprise waiting for me when I woke up from my afternoon nap with the kids (hey! I'm pregnant- I hardly sleep at night... I need to take advantage of these 2 hr naps in the afternoon while I can!) to THIS:::::::::::::::::

I'm excited!!! Really unexpected and REALLY a great surprise! If anyone believes in me it's definitely my husband and this... wow, this blows my mind! :) Needless to say I cannot wait until it get's here next week (darn weekend!)

I didn't realize until now that I haven't shared my GOOD NEWS with everyone on here!!! Brian, the kids and I are excited to announce that baby Berke #3 will make their debute in late January!!! :) We are halfway to meeting our newest little blessing!


Hehe no in case you were wondering I have not been craving OREOS... One night I was sitting at the kitchen table with my sister in law when we decided we wanted to know how much the baby weighed... Soo I looked around my kitchen and found OREOS and decided that they were PERFECT! We've been watching baby OREO ;) grow by every couple of weeks noting how many OREOS he/she weighs ;) It's been fun!

Hope you all had a fun/safe Labor Day weekend! We did... haha a whole lot of nothing here. My sister and cousin were in town so we had a crab/shrimp feast :) That's about it!

A {mini session} is just what the name implies- a shortened version of my regular session lasting 30 minutes at a fraction of the cost but same great quality. *Holiday Sessions- You may be thinking “Amanda you’re crazy it’s only October, you’re thinking about the holidays ALREADY?!” These fall mini sessions really are a great opportunity to round up your family, get that beautiful family photo that you’ve been thinking about and putting off (I’m guilty of this!) and showcase that MUST SEE SHOT on your families holiday card!



FALL MINI SESSION/HOLIDAY SESSION DETAILS
WHEN: October 16th, 2010- rain date, October 17th, 2010.
TIME: 9AM-
LOCATION: Up for suggestion. CONTEST TIME! If you are reading this chances are you are VERY interested OR VERY BORED! Fall in both Orange County and Sullivan County boast BEAUTIFUL scenic views, bright colors and wildlife galore. Fall may arguably be the best time of the year for natural light photography.

HERE’S WHERE YOU COME IN: Send me an email with your name, a picture of your favorite/must see fall location as well as, address of location. I will select 1 entry as the winner of the contest and give them a FREE MINI SESSION!!! The location that wins will be the location for my fall mini sessions!!! Be ORIGINAL- 14 emails with pictures of the Hawks Nest will not make for an exciting contest! Think outside of the box! Email me at: info@amandaberkephotography.com and keep your location a secret! I will reveal the winner Friday, October 1st! Have fun with this!!! I look forward to hearing from you all!

FALL MINI SESSION: $75
• Session fee includes a 30 minute photo session for up to 4 people (for each additional person over 4, please add $15).
• 10-15 custom edited images will be loaded to a password protected gallery for your viewing/ordering.
• 10-15 low resolution, watermarked images will be made available via facebook for sharing with friend’s ad family.

HOLIDAY MINI SESSION: $125
• Session fee includes a 30 minute photo session for up to 4 people (for each additional person over 4, please add $15).
• 10-15 custom edited images will be loaded to a password protected gallery for your viewing/ordering.
• 10-15 low resolution, watermarked images will be made available via facebook for sharing with friend’s and family.
• 25, 5x5 or 5x7 Holiday Cards- many different designs to choose from! You decide which image(s) to select for your card (samples below!).



No minimum orders. Prices for these mini sessions: 4x6 - $8, 5x7 - $10, 8x10 - $15, 8ct wallets - $10. Additional sizes are available please do not hesitate to ask!

A WAAAAY too short visit to Ocean City, Maryland

My husband and I took our children and sister-in-law to Ocean City Maryland last week and had an AWESOME time! I needed to get away and just... relax! The kids had so much fun. My daughter Alyssa is very much a girl- she HATES being dirty so I was a little nervous whether or not she would actually like the beach (this was her first time!). I'm happy to report SHE LOVED IT! :) My son Zachary has been to the beach a bunch of times and definitely enjoyed himself and playing with Alyssa in the sand! :) Enjoy this storyboard I made :) Gosh, I love my babies!!!
